Computational Genomics Lab

The goal of the Computational Genomics Lab is to solve complex problems in biological sciences using computational techniques. This autonomous research group combines genomics and bioinformatics to develop efficient computational algorithms including machine learning methods. We apply these methods to various types of biological data sets to address key challenges to transform global health focusing on infectious disease and cancer genomics. As of now, this group has received funds from Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), UK and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), UK. The team members of the group comprise of Raunak Shrestha, PhD (Team Lead) and Parikshit Prasai (Research Assistant).
