Biography

I am an adjunct-Research Scientist at NAAMII.

I am passionate about advancing Physical AI systems that bridge the digital and natural worlds, with a focus on process automation, optimization, and accessibility for individuals at all levels. I lead research and development initiatives through NAAMII, where we strive to make AI explainable, ethical, and applicable, particularly in resource-constrained settings in both developed and developing countries.

My work includes the design and deployment of end-to-end systems leveraging AI/ML frameworks, IoT, and cloud technologies. Notably, I developed the groundbreaking FloodBOT project,(https://x.com/umbc_floodbot, https://mpsc.umbc.edu/projects/flash-flood-monitoring, https://www.nsf.gov/news/mmg/mmg_disp.jsp?med_id=186821, https://www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/news/flood-bot-ellicott-city-flooding-program/) which combined real-time flood sensing and communication with community collaboration to address urban flood risks. I am particularly interested in developing generative and agentic AI applications integrated with Physical AI to empower both underserved communities and advanced researchers.

At NAAMII, I work on projects that integrate storytelling and technology, delivering rigorous technical insights to researchers while framing AI innovations in relatable narratives for local communities. By focusing on global accessibility, I aim to foster awareness, adoption, and education, helping individuals—from high school students to Ph.D. scholars—harness the transformative potential of AI.
