Research Division
The Research Division is responsible for generating new knowledge. It focuses on conducting research that has global scientific value but is often contextually relevant locally, particularly in Low and Middle-Income Countries. Our faculties have a strong track record of scientific contributions. We expect the researchers to pursue a more significant impact in the scientific community by pushing the frontiers of world knowledge in society via applications and academia by training the next generation of scientific leaders.

Education and Outreach Division
The outreach division is responsible for disseminating generated knowledge to the broader community within Nepal and the Asian region. It is also responsible for engaging with educational institutions to enhance AI-based teaching, conducting workshops and short training programs primarily in machine learning and data science, to enhance the technical capability of individuals and organizations with a focus on improving the AI/ML capability of IT professionals, embedding ML skills within organizations and improving science education within schools and colleges.
Industry and Innovation Division
Facilitate and support the building of research and innovation-based industry ecosystem in Nepal. Support and incubate start-ups by providing infrastructure and expertise and actively exploring product ideas from research activities within NAAMII. The division is also responsible for building mutually beneficial partnerships with established industries.
The partnerships can, for example, include providing scientific expertise to the industries and getting funding for long-term research fellows in NAAMII and Ph.D. students who work on research topics relevant to the industry.
The division will also support scientists and students to shape their ideas for potential future products and actively support spin-offs from NAAMII.
Management and Operations
The Director leads the administrative operations at NAAMII driving the vision and strategy set out by the board and general members.
The Head of Operations works in this division with the Director to ensure smooth operations in HR, Finance, admin, procurement, logistics, and legal compliance.

Set the institute’s constitution, fundamental values, and vision and ensure that the organization is moving towards its vision following its values.
