NAAMII conducted a 3-month summer research Training program from June-August 2020. 40 highly motivated students from all across the nation were selected. Women and participants from outside the valley were encouraged to apply. They participated virtually – taking courses on Maths for Machine Learning (Linear Algebra + Probability & Statistics). Several Teaching Assistants provided assistance on the weekly assignments. Paper reading sessions were also organized towards the later half of the internship. Promising participants were assigned short research projects lasting additional 3 months at the end of the internship.

I was a part of NAAMII Summer Internship and got a chance to work in the project "3D Reconstruction of Spine".
I wasn't sure what to do at that time due to Covid. This internship helped me to be better at coding and to get knowledge in a relatively new field.
I also learned so many things from the internship starting from Probability, Linear Algebra, Computer Vision to NLP. I was exposed to research activity for the first time only through this internship.
