Harnessing Chat GPT and LLMs to Promote Conversations on Sexual, Reproductive, and Maternal Health!
An orientation and training session was conducted for the “Evaluating Nepali Sexual, Reproductive, and Maternal Health (SRMH) Chat-bot with Large Language Models (LLMs)” project.
This project aims to assess LLMs, including Chat GPT, for their ability to provide accurate information on SRMH topics in Nepali, Romanized, and English languages. The goal is to develop a low-cost, accurate chat-bot to address the limited access to SRMH resources caused by language barriers and social stigmas, which have led to an increase in unsafe pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and other related problems.
The project lead, Dr. Bishesh Khanal (Director, NAAMII), received the “Grand Challenges Catalyzing Equitable Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Award” from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The project was selected as one of the 51 awardees out of 1331 applications and is the only one from Nepal.
