In a event held at Park Village Resort, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, Nepal Applied Mathematics and Informatics Institute for research (NAAMII) celebrated five years of transformative AI research and innovation. The event, co-organized by NAAMII and Diyo.AI, brought together key stakeholders from government officials, UN agencies, international organizations, industry leaders, and renowned professionals from diverse fields.

 

As the world navigates the complexities of the Artificial Intelligence era, countries like Nepal are faced with the challenge of harnessing the unique opportunities AI presents while mitigating potential threats. NAAMII, in the past half-decade, has positioned itself as a trailblazing AI research center, contributing world-class research and knowledge globally.

 

The program highlighted NAAMII’s crucial step towards establishing a robust ecosystem of research, education, and innovation in AI within Nepal. This initiative is poised to propel the nation to the forefront of AI development, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
